Swimming at the Icebergs Pool, Bondi Beach

I love swimming.
The Bondi Icebergs Swimming Pool on Bondi Beach, Sydney, has got to be way high on top of my list of spectacular pools to swim in.

The Icebergs Pool is at the Southern End of Bondi Beach one of the most glorious stretches of sea and soft sand.

The Bondi Icebergs Pool is an olympic size lap pool literally within the sea and open to daily users for a really reasonable entrance fee.

There is a smaller pool used for swimming lessons; a gym (which I didn’t have time to check out) change rooms and lockers. If you leave your goggles or swim cap at home these can be bought at the entrance.

I suggest if you really want to get the feel of the Pool, it’s stunning location and the strength of the sea, swim in the lane closest to the sea and if you are lucky the waves will come over the rocks, into the pool, wash over you and probably also ‘move’ you – it is exhilarating.

The location is stunning, the views breathtaking and you will be swimming in one of the most amazing pools!

The pool is closed on Thursdays.

Afterwards go have something light to eat and drink at the Crabbe Hole – no exaggeration it is no more than a hole in the wall at the iconic Bondi Icebergs Pool – they serve toast, muesli and other low key stuff. Get something and then sit on the stools on the deck overlooking the Pool and take in the views of the Bondi Beach.

No better place to chill out.

Don’t confuse the Crabbe Hole with the fancy up scale Restaurant facing the street in the front of the complex – never got to try it.
Would opt anyway for the laid back Crabbe Hole with their wholesome foods and views.

You can start The Bondi to Coogee Magnificent Cliff Walk from here.
